GCHF Launches AED Program

The Grayson County Healthcare Foundation is proud to announce the launch of its new AED Program, designed to enhance safety across Grayson County. Through this initiative, local organizations will have the opportunity to apply for funding to obtain Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs). AEDs are portable electronic devices that automatically diagnose life-threatening cardiac arrhythmias, such as ventricular fibrillation. AEDs can treat specific cardiac arrhythmias through defibrillation. AEDs can save lives.

Applications for the AED Program are now open. The deadline to apply is November 21, 2025, and funding decisions will be announced by January 9, 2026.

“We want to assure life-saving equipment is available within the community,” said Brittany Clemons, GCHF Executive Director. “This program is part of our ongoing commitment to improving health outcomes and supporting the well-being of our community.”

Eligible organizations are encouraged to apply and take part in this important effort to make Grayson County a safer place for all.
